The CILS exam, conducted by the University of Siena, is the most widely recognized in India. It is aligned with CEFR levels and accepted globally.
How many levels are there in Italian?
There are six CEFR levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2 — covering listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
What will I learn at each level?
• A1: Greetings, daily use words, self-introduction • A2: Basic conversations, directions, shopping • B1: Travel, work emails, opinions • B2: Interviews, news articles, formal letters • C1–C2: Advanced speaking, reading, and fluency
